WARRIOR TOUGHNESS
Two and Three-Year Scholarships
Individuals entering their sophomore or junior years of college may apply for a 2-year or3 -year scholarship through their college’s NROTC Unit. 2 year and 3 year NROTC scholarships are awarded competitively by a national scholarship selection board each summer. Students do not need to be currently participating in the NROTC program in order to apply for 2 and 3 year scholarships.
Two and Three-Year Scholarship Benefits
Full tuition at one of the listed colleges or universities (unless room and board is elected as the preferred scholarship benefit instead of tuition and fees).
All mandatory fees imposed by the School on all full-time undergraduate students.
Stipend for text books
Currently $750 per academic year ($375 per semester or $250 per quarter)
Uniforms and Naval Science textbooks
Summer cruises
Subsistence allowance each academic month:
Sophomore - $300/month
Junior - $350/month
Senior - $400/month

Who Can Apply?
U.S. Citizens, Naturalized U.S. Citizens or those in the process of becoming a Naturalized U.S. Citizens.
Persons not less than 17 years old and not yet 23 by September 1 of the year starting college.
Persons with no criminal record of military or civilian offenses pending or federal convictions.
Applicants must have at least at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) but no more than 120 semester hours (180 quarter hours).
Applicants must have a minimum college GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
Must be admitted to or in process of gaining admittance to school affiliated with the NROTC Unit from which they are being nominated.

Applicants must complete the application letter below, obtain the required documents and submit an application to the Professor of Naval Science and the university you wish to attend.

Marine Option Two and Three-Year Scholarship Application Process
Applicants must contact the Marine Office Instructor at the Navy ROTC Unit they are planning on attending for details on the application process.
Service Obligations
Navy Option Scholarship Midshipmen (does not include Nurses or Marines) are required to serve a minimum of five years of active military service. Additional requirements may be required for specific job assignments.
Marine Corps Option Scholarship Midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.
Navy Nurse Corps Option Scholarship Midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.
