Open Enrollment

With a CAC and an approved Empower account, applicants can self-enroll in a class with available quotas during Open Enrollment.

All unused quotas from Targeted Enrollment are made available in Empower on a first-come-first-served basis. The SEA routinely has between 10 and 20 Open Enrollment quotas each class. So, if a desired class is not available during Targeted Enrollment, applicants should mark their calendars for that class’s Open Enrollment date.

Open Enrollment occurs three weeks before the class's official start date. If that Monday falls on a holiday, then Open Enrollment shifts to that Tuesday. All open enrollment dates are listed on the Class Schedule.

Open Enrollment begins at 0800 Eastern Time (ET). Once all seats are filled, Open Enrollment for that class ends. All seats are typically filled in under 15 minutes on Open Enrollment day.

Open Enrollment dates for each class are posted on the SEA website under Class Schedule.
