Senior Chief Logistics Specialist Norma Porter, the recipients of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) Peter Tomich Distinguished Leadership Award delivers a speech at the SEA Class 254 graduation Sept. 1.

 

All U.S. Servicemembers
Must have a current Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) through graduation day.
Pass Navy Body Composition Assessment (BCA).

E7 Eligibility and Quota Requirements
 
Each of the nine In-Residence Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) classes has five (5) quotas available for eligible E7s. Chiefs seeking consideration for an E7 quota must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Early Promote (EP) recommendation on their most recent ranked evaluation;
  • Excellent or Outstanding score on their most recent Physical Fitness Assessment;
  • Time-in-Rate (TIR) eligible for advancement; and
  • Chief Petty Officer Leader Development Course (CPO LDC) complete.
Chiefs who meet all eligibility requirements must obtain a signed Commanding Officer (CO) endorsement and submit their request directly to the SEA Registrar via email only (registration.sea@us.navy.mil) for quota consideration.
Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee enrollment. E7 quotas are limited to five per class and are subject to availability and SEA approval.
 

E-8/E-9 of Any Service

The SEA course is for E-8/E-9s. Thus, pay grades E-8/E-9 of any service, including our international service partners, are fully eligible (to include ‘frocked’ E-8s). Army, Air Force, National Guard, Marine, and Coast Guard personnel should refer to their respective service’s procedures for funding to attend at the Navy SEA.
